The shipyard located on the Ligurian coast began its operations in 1992 and was among the first to offer waterjet-powered yachts on the market. In 2001, AB Yachts became one of the brands to join the Fipa Group, which today also includes the Maiora, Intermare, and CBI Navi marques. This merger gave the shipyard a new impulse for development: lightweight and durable composites, components, and adhesive technologies used in the aerospace industry were introduced into production, enabling AB Yachts to become a leader in the high-speed yacht market.
As part of the Fipa Group, AB Yachts offers its clients after-sales service, refit, and yacht storage services. The AB Yachts technical service team promises to reach any location in the world within 72 hours.
The shipyard’s portfolio includes planing sports yachts and superyachts ranging from 25 to 50 meters in length, featuring composite hulls and waterjet propulsion systems. The latter provide AB yachts not only with high maneuverability but, when combined with the use of lightweight composite materials for the hulls—including Kevlar—also make speeds of 40+ knots achievable. A key quality of AB Yachts products is the complete customization of all models, including exterior elements and deck layouts.
Among notable projects are the 25-meter G-Five (2020), with a top speed of 55 knots, and the 42-meter Angel (2021), capable of reaching 42 knots.
